RE: Road Construction

The contractor hired by the Michigan Department of Transportation to repave South

James Street has informed the City of Ludington that it plans to close South James Street

to all traffic and parking on Wednesday, October 28, 2009 from about 7:00 a.m. – 7:00

p.m. in order to mill off the old pavement and repave the road with a base course of

asphalt. Later in the week, the contractor will adjust the heights of all of the manholes

and catch basins, which will not require the closure of the road. The contractor will

then place the final course of asphalt on the road this coming weekend or next week,

weather depending.
